MISSION STATEMENT

Pearce Junior High School strives to create a safe and caring learning environment of collaboration, communication, and the engagement of resources to promote school, home, and community partnerships that enhance student development and motivation.

Announcements

Monday March 18,2019 is a board holiday therefore, there will be no classes for students on Monday. We we return on Tuesday it will be Day 5 on the school schedule.

We encourage parent/guardians to complete our School Development Surveys. The survey is available at the following website https;//www.research.net/r/SDFamily1819EN

Surveys are to be completed by March 15, 2019. If you have any questions feel free to contact the school. Your support on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

This year some of our grade 8 students will be participating in an international assessment called the Pan-Canadian Assessment Program ( PCAP). This will cover the areas of Math , Science and Reading with a special emphasis on Math. We are in the process of identifying which grade 8 students will participate and a memo will be sent home to those selected and the date in which the assessment will take place.

A memo was sent home before the Christmas Break with information on a Canada Learning Bond available to students. Please see link for a brochure on what the program is and who can avail of it. Canada Learning Bond
